Firie left shattered by station closure

Mr Smith, who has volunteered for five years, said DFES would look to move local firefighters into other emergency services.

He said it was something he would talk to his team about before making a decision.

‘I’m looking at that but the brigade has been around for 102 years, so it’s very disappointing obviously for the members and the community,’ Mr Smith said.
