Former MKR contestant and Bassendean resident Jordan Bruno named Mr Gay World 2018

BASSENDEAN resident and former My Kitchen Rules contestant Jordan Bruno has become the first Australian to win the Mr Gay World 2018 title.

The Gay Chef author took out the title at the finale held in Knysna South Africa on Sunday, May 27.

The competition, which was formed by Eric Butter and Dean Nelson in 2009, inspires and empower gay men to gather in a public performance and fight for human rights.

Bruno, a LGBTI advocate, won six out of 12 possible awards, including personal interview, social responsibility, best in formal wear, public (online vote), photogenic and Face of 2018.
