The event is sponsored by Community Newspaper Group and is part of the Mix 94.5 Kids Appeal with Telethon.

Clairsy, Shane and Kymba – the trio who make up Mix 94.5’s top-rating breakfast crew – said they were relishing the opportunity to flex their “quiz muscles” while raising money for Princess Margaret Hospital.

Kymba, who fancied herself and her boyfriend as potential quiz winners, said the Kids Appeal was an important cause.

“Nobody ever knows if they’re going to need the services of PMH for their children,” she said.

Shane, who is the father of a healthy 13-year-old boy, said he admired the “stoic ability of sick children.”

“Please come along and give generously to this cause,” he said.

Clairsy said the event was “not just any quiz night”.

“Buy tickets and do whatever you can to help out.”

As part of the appeal, Community Newspaper Group will be donating $1 for every person who subscribes to the digital edition of his or her local newspaper over the next month.
