Senior school student services manager Cary Wong said the school worked with Salvation Army for a long time.

“In the last few years, they have come to our schools to run lunch time activities for our Year 7s,” Mr Wong said.

“Also, they provide services like mentoring and management for students.

“We look at them as another external agency that provides support for our students depending on what they need.”

Mr Wong said the students had enjoyed hip-hop performances in the past.

“The Salvation Army have actually come to the school and a lot of the time they would bring a hip hop artist,” he said.

“One of the things we like about it is they bring interaction with the kids and students are able to enjoy and appreciate the performance.”
