Innovative, Olympic-themed Pegasus Park set to open in Bennett Springs

AN Olympic-themed park featuring world-class technology in Bennett Springs will be opening on Saturday.

Mirvac’s Pegasus Park in Iluma Private Estate features world-best solar-powered smart benches equipped with WiFi access, wireless device chargers and two USB connectors, playground equipment and fitness nodes to cater for little athletics, cricket and basketball.

The launch event will be held on February 24 in Luminous Boulevard, Bennett Springs from 3pm to 7pm.

There will be food trucks, free kids activities including face painting, a cricket clinic, bouncy castle and craft fun.

The event will also feature sport clinics conducted by Perth Wildcats captain Damian Martin, dance performances including Bollywood dancing and turban tying activities from Bennett Springs temples, superhero activities and craft workshops.

The park design includes future-focused technology for the community with the integration of solar lighting for safe, night-walking and an universally accessible path network to encourage imagination and challenge all ages and abilities.
