A residents’ action group was formed to fight the problem in June 2016.
In November 2016, the Housing Authority handed down an eviction notice to the tenants of a “drug house” on Northmoor Road in Eden Hill because of the “uncertainty” of their pending court outcome.
The two tenants were found guilty of selling drugs and fined more than $1000 in December.

READ NOWBassendean MLA Dave Kelly, who formed the Jubilee |Action Group, said the community was happy with the result.
“This drug house has really caused problems for all the residents and the sporting clubs that use Jubilee Reserve,” he said.
Eden Hill resident Rod Prunster said it was a “definite win” for the community.
“We stopped bring ing our kids to this park for quite a while because of the needles,” he said.
“I used to walk at night and I stopped doing that… so did many other people.
“It was becoming a nice area and the council had done a |lot with the paths, the equipment and the seats, and all of a |sudden it was destroyed.”
