Lockridge man (21) charged after alleged chase through Kiara and Caversham

POLICE have charged a Lockridge man (21) for allegedly failing to stop during a car chase through Kiara and Caversham.

About 12.45am this morning, officers on patrol in Kiara observed a Mitsubishi Lancer drifting between lanes and almost striking another vehicle.

Police allege the driver failed to stop, despite an attempt to stop the vehicle on Morley Drive East.

He drove through several suburbs and at one point, the officers lost sight of the vehicle.

The vehicle was found in Lord Street in Caversham, where it collided with a police vehicle at the intersection of Lord Street and Benara Road.

The man was charged with fail to stop and was due to appear before Midland Magistrates Court on March 21.
