A MALAGA family business will celebrate 30 years of operating in the eastern suburbs with the inaugural Dream Big Expo this weekend.
Tony Mirabile, the founder of Beyond Tools, said it was a big achievement to reach the milestone.
“Coming from an Italian background, we cherish family and we are a little bit more tolerant probably than most others,” he said.
“With the children coming on board, we have actually managed to take the whole operations to a total new level and we believe that we are pioneers in what we do.
“In the early years, we produced mainly woodworking machinery and tools, whereas now we do all the tools for every trade.”
Mr Mirabile said he hoped to pass on his business to his children in the future.
“Obviously, I cannot work forever… but I will always have an active part while I am alive because it keeps me alive,” he said.
“We hope to take it to a new level, which is having another store south of the river, and that is on the plan for next year.”
Mr Mirabile said the expo would feature a 3000sqm pop-up store and a special appearance from American Restoration reality TV stars Rick and Kelly, from Las Vegas.
“We are going to have all our latest machinery all fully operational and producing products, lots of demonstrations, pricing on products that have never been seen before,” he said.
“We have also introduced the theme around motor racing and sports, so we have got a host of the best cars in Perth that are going to be on show.”
The Dream Big Expo will be held on October 15 and 16 at Claremont Showgrounds.
