Man charged after alleged crime spree across Perth

A MAN has been charged after an alleged crime spree across Perth over the past three months.

Joondalup Detectives charged the man as a result of their extensive investigation into a series of 19 incidents across the metro area and beyond.

Between March and June, police allege the man was involved in various offences including the stealing of vehicles and ATMS, ram raids, burglaries and evade police incidents.

The offences occurred across the suburbs of Alkimos, Bassendean, Beechboro, Butler, Carramar, Currambine, Greenfields, Joondalup, Kinross, Madeley, Malaga, Northam, Osborne Park, and Wangara.

He was apprehended on Monday June 17, after he was located on the roof of a home in Butler.

The 34-year-old, from Butler, has been charged with two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, two counts of stealing and two counts of aggravated burglary and committing an offence in a dwelling.

He was also charged with reckless driving, possessing a prohibited drug (cannabis), possessing things to assist unlawful entry, giving false personal details to police and attempted aggravated armed robbery.

He is next due to appear before the Joondalup Magistrates Court on July 17.
