Man Charged After Police Chase

Toyah ShakespeareEastern Reporter

A DRIVER has led police on a reckless chase through Perth’s north-eastern suburbs after failing to stop on Altone Road in Lockridge.

About 9.50am, a 26-year-old Middle Swan man allegedly failed to stop for police before he recklessly drove off in a stolen car in an attempt to evade officers.

A police helicopter followed the car through different suburbs and directed officers on the ground.

The man was eventually apprehended and is facing six charges including failure to stop, reckless driving and no authority to drive.
