Man in critical condition following Westminster hit and run

A MAN is in a serious condition following a hit-and-run incident in Westminster yesterday evening.

The 36-year-old man was crossing Majella Road just before 5.30pm when he was hit by a small, old, blue hatchback vehicle.

The driver, described as a young, dark skinned male, stopped and approached the victim, before returning to the car and driving away from the scene.

He was last seen driving eastbound on Esperanto Way, Westminster and had a smashed windscreen as a result of the crash.

The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital and is currently in a critical condition.
