Mean streets of Morley feature in Ali Barter’s latest music video

Melbourne singer-songwriter Ali Barter filmed her latest film clip in Morley.

MORLEY has been put on the map with the latest video offering from Triple J darling Ali Barter featuring the mean streets of Morley.

The Melbourne indie pop singer-songwriter performed a gig at Jack Rabbit Slim’s earlier in the month and while in Perth filmed a video for song Please Stay.

Barter is seen strolling past Morley Galleria carpark, the Collier Road and Walter Road intersection, the Progress Street seal statue and around Morley Markets.

She enters King Kong Morley Market Discounts store, browses the shelves and purchased an item.

Store partner Jitendra Patel said the crew filmed over a couple of hours in the store and did eight to 10 takes.

“I thought I could help them out,” she said.

Mr Patel was at the counter serving customers during the filming.

He has co-owned the business for four years and thought the video was a good opportunity to put Morley on the map.

Barter is best known for her 2016 single Girlie Bits.
