POLICE have charged a 51-year-old man over a series of drug offences at a targeted address in Mirrabooka .
Mirrabooka Police executed a search warrant on October 6 at an address linked to drug activity after a build-up of intelligence from the community and local policing teams.
During the warrant, a significant quantity of drugs and stolen property were seized.
Owners of some of the stolen items have been identified as victims of burglary and stealing offences.
The man was charged with possession of prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply, and possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
He was refused bail and appeared in court the following day, where he was remanded to appear again on October 21.
Officer-in-charge Neil Morton-Smith said the community were encouraged to continue to provide with information on unlawful activity in their neighbourhoods.
“In this instance that information has been very useful in gathering enough information to execute the warrant,” he said.
“Residents surrounding the targeted address have been advised of the warrant being executed and encouraged to continue reporting suspicious behaviour to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
