Mirrabooka man (60) dies after being involved in Maylands fight

A MIRRABOOKA man has died in hospital after being involved in a fight on Eighth Avenue in Maylands last Friday night.

At 9.15pm, police said two men who were known to each other became involved in a physical altercation.

During the fight, a 60-year-old man was punched and fell to the ground, hitting his head on the bitumen.

The man was taken to hospital, did not regain consciousness and died yesterday.

Police have charged a 45-year-old Busselton man with aggravated grievous bodily harm.

The man was granted bail and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court April 19.
