A police spokesman said just before midnight on August 12, officers were called to a Landsdale home where two men had been stabbed.
The spokesman said a 35-year-old man died shortly after admission to hospital and a 32-year-old man was in a serious condition.
He said about 1.40am on August 13 detectives went to a Mirrabooka home where they took a man into custody in relation to the stabbings.
Major Crime Squad detectives charged the 31-year-old Mirrabooka man with one count of murder and unlawful wounding.

READ NOWThe man was refused bail and appeared in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on August 14. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in Stirling Gardens tomorrow.
