THE Metro North-West Joint Development Assessment Panel has approved changes to parking and landscaping at a four-storey office and restaurant development in Mirrabooka.

The panel unanimously supported applicant Element’s proposed changes to the previously approved development worth $150,000 at Lot 603, 5, Milldale Way at its meeting today.

Changes include an extra external garage structure located within the car parking area and modifications to the car parking and landscaping plan.

There will be a minimum of 62 public car bays and 37 short stay bays and the relocation of three trees as a consequence of the extra garage.

Element senior planning consultant Mike Davis said the development was largely complete and would bring a significant contribution to the streetscape and amenity of the area.

Panel member and Stirling councillor David Boothman said the building would be good for the area.
