MORLEY muggles are expected to scoop up the latest Harry Potter offering faster than a wizard could say “accio” on Sunday.

Nearly 10 years since the release of the final novel, fans are preparing for the launch of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the script book based on a new West End play.

The two-part play will officially premiere on Saturday in London, written by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, and follows adult Harry Potter and his son Albus Severus Potter.

Staff at Morley Galleria’s Dymocks store are bracing for the onslaught and have ordered 700 copies of the book, 300 of which have already been pre-ordered.

Supervisor Aimee Heptinstall said staff were dressing up and awarding prizes for customers’ best outfits.

“This is probably the biggest event I’ve seen since I’ve been here,” she said.

“We’re not really sure how big it’s going to be.

“We’re expecting a queue the first hour or so and be quite busy the rest of the day.”

Ms Heptinstall, a Harry Potter fan herself, said a former Morley staff member moved to England and had seen a Cursed Child play preview.

“She said ‘you have to read it so I can talk about it’,” she said.
