YOUNG adults can relieve exam stress and anxiety through cuddling kittens at a kitten yoga event in April.
The City of Bayswater is holding a free event, as part of Youth Week on April 17 at Morley Public Library.
A qualified yoga instructor will guide people aged 12 to 18 through the session with the company of kittens from the Cat Haven.
Bayswater Youth Advisory Council member and Chisholm Catholic College student Isabella Bacigalupo-Rose said kitten yoga was good for distressing.
“At Chisholm, around exam season, they also hold yoga classes so having it with the kittens it is even better because cats make everything better,” she said.
The Bassendean resident said her main source of stress was having deadlines for different classes at the same time.
Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull invited people to donate cat food, toys, litter and towels to the Cat Haven.
“The session is being held during the school holidays so we hope to get as many young people along as possible,” he said.
