NBN Co seeks skilled workers to construct national network in Perth

Laura PondEastern Reporter

NBN Co is seeking thousands of skilled workers as construction of the National Broadband Network ramps up in Perth.

The company has launched a nationwide search aimed at job seekers who have more than three years experience in related industries including motor vehicle manufacturing, mining, road and bridge construction, boat building and electricity distribution.

WA corporate affairs manager Ebony Aitken said this was NBN Co’s biggest year yet in construction and service activation and it was vital to have enough people to construct the network as the rollout pace increased.

“We will be accelerating the build and connection rates to new records and that’s why we need more workers than ever before to help us connect Australia.”
