Anya Brock’s giraffes neck and neck on Eighth Avenue in Maylands

They are the work of popular artist Anya Brock, well known for depicting bold, fun and colourful artwork.

She recently completed the mural with the aim of painting something different to the area’s current landscape.

City of Bayswater Mayor Sylvan Albert said the piece was generating interest from local residents who were pleasantly surprised when they looked up and saw these beautiful animals looking down at them.

“Art is about provoking thought and in this case also creating a unique addition to the space,” Cr Albert said.

“This really brightens the street landscape and is accessible for everyone to view.”
