Ms Sanderson said the State Government-funded library would be well-used and a much-loved part of the school.

“This was an important election commitment to ensure local kids had modern and vibrant facilities that inspire them to learn,” she said.

Ms Ellery said students would be equipped with skills, knowledge and confidence they need for the next step into high school.

“This fantastic new library will give students the opportunity to be curious learners with modern technologies at their fingertips,” she said.

Meanwhile, the school will become a independent public school in 2019.
