North Morley PS hosts colourful fundraiser

Kristie LimEastern Reporter

NORTH Morley Primary School students ran through streaks of colour and foam to raise funds for a playground upgrade last week.

The P&C organised a Fun Run fundraising event, which featured an obstacle course on the school oval where students were showered with coloured powder, water from pistols and foam.

Morley MLA Amber-Jade Sanderson, who joined students and staff in the run, said P&Cs were the “lifeblood” of schools.

A P&C spokeswoman said students, parents and staff chipped in and built playgrounds from scratch.

“Our P&C has raised the funds to introduce these spaces with help from the community and by using donated materials,” she said.

“We’re continuing to introduce nature play spaces to our junior and senior playground areas.”
