Deputy principal Janine Turner said they had their highest number of students ever – 371, up from 338 the year before.

Ms Turner said they opened a new, transportable kindergarten this year to address growing enrolments.

“We’re a growing community and our new kindergarten will accommodate 20 families which is really exciting,” she said.

Year 3 student Dali said it would be “awesome” to have both her younger brothers with her at school.

“I will get to play with them more on the playground,” she said. Dali said her advice to Haro was to “find some friends and be good,” as well as smile a lot.
