One in two WA adults expected to buy tickets for $30m Saturday Lotto Superdraw

LOTTO fever has struck WA with three huge Lotto draws on the horizon over the next week.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said the countdown to tomorrow night’s $30 million Saturday Lotto Megadraw is becoming bigger than the countdown to New Year’s Eve.

“This is one of our biggest draws of the year and we expect about one in two WA adults to pick up a ticket for the draw,” she said.

“We encourage local players to get their tickets early, with sales set to peak tomorrow afternoon – when close to 40,000 tickets will be pumped out of lottery terminals during our busiest hour.

“And there’s certainly no sign of things slowing down in the New Year – where we’ll ring in 2018 with an incredible $40 million OZ Lotto jackpot on Tuesday and a $35 million Powerball jackpot on Thursday.”

Tickets for are available until 6pm draw day from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the Lotterywest app.

Tomorrow night’s Megadraw alone is set to raise more than $5 million to support WA’s health, sports and arts sectors as well as hundreds of local not-for-profit groups.
