Parking the problem in Bayswater

REGARDING the article Town centre revival, Reporter, June 2, the City of Bayswater has already paid for a plan for this area years ago.

The lack of amenity and vacant shops are due to major parking problems in and around the area resulting from the train station and increasingly heavy through traffic

Before any revitalisation of the Bayswater town centre can be planned, the traffic and parking problems need to be addressed.

An increase in building density with no adequate parking will only increase the traffic and parking problems already present.

One of the main heritage features of the area are the rose gardens either side of the rail line.
