Passion to end isolation

The Inyange Girls are four young women who formed in 2010 to help young migrants with social isolation problems reconnect with their community.

Organiser Angele Ntirampeba (25) said the annual event would include singing and dancing, with entertainment from local performers, including Ras Banamungu.

The Marangaroo resident, who lived in a refugee camp herself, said the event would not only help refugees in camps but also help young migrants to network and promote their cultural values.

She said it was important to have events that encouraged young people to come together to eliminate cultural barriers, reduce isolation and form a united group.
