Perth Petrol Prices Drop to 11-Year Low

PERTH petrol prices have hit an 11-year low today, with 267 of the 311 metropolitan stations offering unleaded petrol (ULP) for less than a dollar a litre.

The two cheapest sites – BP Connect Palm Springs in Warnbro and BP Connect Rockingham Park – are selling ULP for 92.9 cents per litre.

A Department of Consumer Protection spokesman said the last time prices were lower than this was January 28, 2005 when the price was 88.5 cents per litre.

The FuelWatch site has the average price of petrol across the metro area at 100.5 cents per litre, the lowest since January 1, 2009.

North: 94.7 cents per litre at Caltex Woolworths Ellenbrook and Caltex Woolworths Mirrabooka

South: 92.9 cents per litre at Connect Palm Springs in Warnbro and BP Connect Rockingham Park

Peel: 95.9 cents per litre at Puma Mandurah and Puma Meadow Springs

Hills/East: 96.7 cents per litre at Puma Gingers in Upper Swan
