PERTH’s taste of summer could disappear tomorrow, with the chance of a thunderstorm to dampen Melbourne Cup festivities.
After a week of sunshine, and a sticky night predicted tonight, the Bureau of Meteorology said there’s a 20 per cent likelihood of rain tomorrow with the chance of a storm.
With a predicted maximum of 32 degrees today, the mercury is tipped to fall to 20 degrees over night with a top of 33 predicted for Cup day.
If a storm does arrive, the Bureau said it would come in the early afternoon – hopefully well after the Cup’s midday start time.
