Belinda CiprianoEastern Reporter

Pitt, a former model and mining engineer with Rio Tinto, suffered burns to 65 per cent of her body and has endured more than 200 surgical procedures including reconstructive surgery for her nose.

The young speaker told the audience "only when we have a crack" do we know what we are capable of and encouraged everyone to make the most of life.
