Police charge man with 40 offences allegedly committed across Perth

AN EMBLETON man has been charged with 40 offences after a series of stealing incidents both north and south of the river.

The offences allegedly occurred between November 2017 and January 2018 in Atwell, Aubin Grove, Bayswater, Bibra Lake, Dianella, Embleton, Hammond Park, Success and Wandi.

An investigation by Cockburn and Bayswater police officers has resulted in 40 charges being laid against the 34-year-old man/

The charges include 21 counts of gaining benefit by fraud, 13 counts of stealing (12 from motor vehicles), two counts of breaching bail and one count each of aggravated burglary, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of ammunition without a license.

He is due to appear at the Fremantle Magistrates Court today.
