Police crack down on drug ring

Several houses were raided in Mirrabooka, Perth, New South Wales and South Australia, and more than 16 kilograms of methylamphetamine, 23.5kg of cannabis and five luxury vehicles seized.

Police allege several crime syndicates were operating across the three states with the assistance of a WA trucking company and a South Australian driver.

As part of the operation, detectives executed 15 search warrants in Western Australia and South Australia.

This included extraditing three people from South Australia to face court in Western Australia.

Of the 17 people charged with 51 offences, seven of them are alleged to be the people in charge of the drug syndicate, and police plan to charge 12 of the people with drug-trafficking.
