ARSON Squad detectives are hunting an arsonist after a suspicious fire destroyed a Ballajura home and caused about $200,000 in damages.

Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to reports of a fire at a home on Conifer Close about 2.35pm on Thursday.

The fire caused extensive damage to the unit and the estimated damage cost is $200,000.

Arson Squad detectives ask anyone who has dash-cam vision or CCTV of the area around the time of the fire to upload vision or photos via this link.

Rewards of up to $50,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
