POLICE are investigating a burglary in Dianella on Tuesday during which World War II medals were stolen.
Between 7.45 am and 4.15pm thieves forced open the front door of a home on Homer Street.
They went through the house, stealing a number of items before leaving.
Among the items stolen was a World War II medal group presented to the victim’s grandmother, Nurse Fay Caplan, at Buckingham Palace.
The medals are of sentimental value to the victim and his family as they have been handed down through the family after their grandmother passed away.
