About 11.15pm on February 5, a woman in her 40s arrived at her home in Ashington Street and parked her car in the driveway.

A dark red Mitsubishi Lancer sedan pulled in behind her and a man came out of the driver’s door armed with a metal bar.

She managed to run from her car to a neighbour’s house where police were called.

A short time later, she discovered her house was broken into and her car was not stolen.

The man is described as light-skinned, between 25 and 35 year sold, 180cm tall, short fair hair, solid build and wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.

The woman is described as olive-skinned, between 25 and 35 years old, 170cm tall, slim build, brown hair and wearing a dark hoodie.

Detectives are asking for anyone with dash cam footage from the area on February 5 from 11pm to 11.45pm, particularly around Ashington Street or near Des Hoffman Reserve, Dianella to assist with their investigation.
