Police probe suspicious fire in East Perth

POLICE are investigating a suspicious bushfire where trolleys, personal goods and clothing were damaged in East Perth this morning.

The fire, near Lord and Royal streets, was reported to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) at 9.10am on Monday.

One lane on Lord Street between Newcastle and Royal streets was been blocked off by police cars.

A man in his 20s is assisting police with inquiries and the investigation into the circumstances of the fire are currently ongoing.

No charges have been laid at this stage.
