Police renew calls for witnesses following Bateman hit and run death

Major Crash officers investigating the death of a 42-year-old man, believed to have been struck and killed by a truck on Leach Highway in Bateman earlier this month, continue to seek witnesses to the incident.

No charges have been laid following the death of Justin Kickett.

Officers seized a white Mercedes Benz Actros Cab over Prime Mover they believe hit the man about 12.20am on November 16.

Police said the truck was being examined and a 50-year-old man was assisting with inquiries.

Investigators are working to create a timeline of events before and after the man was struck by the vehicle.

Police have spoken to a number of drivers and been provided dash cam, and CCTV footage.

“Information from those images has revealed a number of other vehicles including trucks that were in the area at the time of the crash that have not yet been identified,” a police spokeswoman said.

Police want to speak to anyone who was driving on Leach Highway near to the Bull Creek station between midnight and 12.20am.
