A 24-year-old Yangebup woman received a gunshot to her upper body in Bayswater at 2.45pm yesterday.
The woman was in a vehicle with a man when the incident occurred.
They were both sent to Bayswater Police Station a short time after the incident where an ambulance took the woman to Royal Perth Hospital.

Perth Detectives with the assistance of Tactical Response Group officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Whatley Crescent in Bayswater.
It will be alleged during the search police located and seized a small quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made yet.
