RECORD numbers rocked up to Bayswater Waves Family Fun Day and Baysie Youth Fest last Sunday, beating the heat with water slides, squirters and a wave pool.

Hosted by the City of Bayswater and the City’s Youth Advisory Council at Bayswater Waves, 2590 people attended, compared to 1800 last year.

Deputy Mayor Stephanie Coates said it was great so many people supported the fun day and youth festival.

“The day showed the strong community spirit of the people of Bayswater and we had record numbers this year, which was a credit to the organisation,” she said.
