The mother-of-one, who did not want to be identified, returned home on Monday, June 17 from lunch with her friend and daughter to find her home had been ransacked and all her precious jewellery stolen.

She is now pleading to the public in the hope her jewellery items, some of which are family heirlooms and of sentimental value, will be returned so that she can one day pass them on to her daughter.

According to the resident, the stolen pieces of jewellery were unique and identifiable. They included a cognac diamond ring given to her by her husband, a gold patterned bangle and a gold diamond bangle.
