Schools received funding for a range of works, from new carpets and tree pruning to levelling footpaths and paving.
Morley Senior High School received the most in the region, with $273,277 going towards resurfacing courts.
Hampton Senior High School received $185,000 to replace carpets, shield exposed switchboards and resurface playing courts.

READ NOWIllawara Primary School got $60,000 to resurface playing courts, $20,000 to replace roof gutters, and $18,000 to replace the carpets in four classrooms.
Toilets at Embelton Primary School were refurbished for $100,000 and more than $23,500 was spent on battens and ceiling replacements in the foyer.
More than 275 government schools across the State took a share in $13 million as part of the program.
