Serious crash in Dianella involving ambulance

UPDATE: A woman is fighting for her life and five others are in hospital after an earlier crash involving an ambulance in Dianella this morning.

The 24-year-old woman who was driving a Hyundai Getz is in a critical condition at Royal Perth Hospital while her 30-year-old and nine-year-old passengers are in a stable condition.

An 87-year-old who was in the ambulance at the time is in a serious but stable condition.

Two ambulance officers are in a stable condition in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

EARLIER: SIX people were taken to hospital this morning after an ambulance and small car were involved in a crash in Dianella.

A St John Ambulance carrying three passengers and a Hyundai Getz, also with three occupants, were involved in the crash about 2.45am near Woodrow Avenue and Alexander Drive.

Department of Fire and Emergency and St John Ambulance crews attended.

All six people were taken to hospital, some with serious injuries.
