Stirling: Dramatic police pursuit ends with head-on crash, loaded gun pulled on police

AAPEastern Reporter

A MAN has pulled a loaded gun on police officers after a pursuit ended in a head-on collision in Perth.

Officers had been chasing the Toyota Kluger for about half an hour when it appeared to lose control and crashed into another car on the Mitchell Freeway.

Several offenders ran from the vehicle, police say, and a man pointed a gun at officers who drew their own firearms before he surrendered.

The man and two women have been arrested.

Three people, including the driver of the other vehicle, have been taken to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.

Police have confirmed the Kluger, despite having different number plates, was the same car used in a carjacking on Monday night.

In that offence, a 28-year-old man had a gun pointed at him after being bashed and dragged from his Volkswagen.

Two people from the Kluger were injured and taken to Royal Perth Hospital

A passenger in the other car was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
