String of weapons, drugs charges following police search

A police spokesman said about 10pm, Perth Detectives stopped the driver of a Subaru Liberty driving along Morley Drive in Nollamara and searched the car.

�It will be alleged a number of items including quantities of methamphetamine, cannabis, prescribed drugs, and a stun gun were allegedly located inside the car,� he said.

�Police officers carried out further inquiries and executed warrants at the male driver�s Nollamara residence and a storage unit in Osborne Park.� It will be alleged methamphetamine, cannabis, a firearm, bayonet, machete and ammunition were seized during searches of the two properties.

The 32-year-old Nollamara man is facing numerous charges including four counts of possessing a prohibited drug, two counts of possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing an unlicensed firearm in circumstances of aggravation. He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on April 28.
