It was the first time the school released balloons, with the colours representing the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Australia flags.
The event was held to recognise the theme We all stand on sacred ground: learn, respect and celebrate.
Aboriginal Islander Education Officer Kelly Wylie said other events included an assembly and dancers.
