Community Awards Technology Assisting Disability

A BASSENDEAN organisation has been named a finalist in the Community Services Excellence Awards.

Technology Assisting Disability WA is up against Access Housing Australia (Fremantle), Communicare – Communicare Breathing Space Program (Cannington) and Rocky Bay – Skills Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program (Mosman Park) in the large organisation category.

The biennial awards recognise innovative organisations in WA’s community services sector.

Community Services Minister Tony Simpson said the awards were a partnership between the State Government and the WA Council of Social Service .

“These awards are a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge the support offered by community services organisations and the significant difference they make to people’s lives,” he said.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on May 4, 2016.
