Temple scouts tackle tree planting

Kristie LimEastern Reporter

BUDDHA’S Light International Association WA scouts helped plant more than 4000 native plants at Lightning Park in Noranda at the weekend.

More than 80 members of the Maylands-based temple scouts group, family members and friends were joined by Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull and councillors at the tree planting day on July 6.

Primatologist Jane Goodall also attended and delivered a presentation on her Scouts WA Roots and Shoots program, which promotes awareness about the connections between people, animals and the environment.
