Time with seniors

The students were looking for a part-time job to support themselves at university, with Shannon taking on a law arts degree at UWA while Emily was studying chemical engineering at Curtin.

They found work easily at nearby aged care Bethanie Joondanna and Shannon said at first it was just a job.

‘It became so much more than that though, it’s like working with family, we spent Christmas day there and we became really attached to the residents.
