THE Town of Bassendean will investigate the cost of installing street art and furniture in the town centre, in a bid to revitalise the area.

Councillors unanimously supported Cr John Gangell’s motion for officers to seek quotes from a suitably qualified organisation to install street art and furniture to

in the town centre at last week’s council meeting.

Officers will prepare a report on costs in future budgets for the council to consider.

The council’s move followed Bayswater Council’s September decision to allow its chief executive to approve the design, colour, theme and location of street furniture and infrastructure.
