THE next plank in the grand plan to have us never leave the house is upon us, with UberEats launching in Perth today.
The app allows people to order food from local restaurants and have it delivered to their door.
More than 70 Perth restaurants are signed up already, and that figure is sure to grow.
Melbourne was the first Australian city to launch the service, and according to the company it is still the city in which the app is most widely used.
From Community Newspapers’ Perth headquarters, some of the outlets available to order from include Top Dup Donuts, Jus Burgers, Filos & Yiros, Edo Japanese, Source Foods, Popo and Three Sisters Vietnamese.
The app will be competing against other food delivery services like Deliveroo and MenuLog.
