The 37-year-old said joining a weight loss group gave him a new lease on life and he wanted to create a weight loss environment tailored specifically to male clientele.
‘It gives guys a chance to understand weight loss and how they can benefit from a team environment that shares the same experience,’ he said.
‘It is an education program that educates people how to eat better and take control of their weight.’
Nollamara resident Raun Sutton, who lost 40kg with the help of Mr Anderson, said having a male only weight loss group was very important.
‘A lot of males that I speak to want to lose weight and want to lead a healthier lifestyle but are uncertain or insecure about making the first step,’ he said.
‘A male weight loss group will encourage men to deal with weight gain and gaining control of a healthier lifestyle but share the experience with other men who are in the same predicament or scenario as themselves.’
The 38-year-old said before losing weight he was disgusted with what he saw in the mirror and was lethargic and achy.
‘I had no energy, constant struggles, very unhealthy and plaguing back issues,’ he said.
‘My blood works reflected my unhealthy weight and I was tottering on the edge of type 2 diabetes.
‘I was spiralling out of control and needed help to regain myself.
‘If I didn’t do something soon, who knows where I would have been today?’
Mr Sutton said through weight loss meetings he had learnt that he was worthy of greatness and as important as all other tasks, duties and commitments he dedicated time to and to reflect the same amounts of energy towards himself.
